People

People are at the heart of what makes a company function and this is no exception at Saltware Solutions.

Having worked in the life sciences industry for 23 years Duncan decided it was time to branch out and apply his knowledge and experience to create a software solutions consultancy. Whilst managing teams of engineers and delivering software releases Duncan learned many lessons that he is now sharing with his customers to help them achieve success in their line of business.

Two core methodologies sit at the heart of Duncan’s experience, the first being design thinking and the second being agile project management.

Design thinking provides a solution-based approach to tackling complex problems. Design thinking starts by understanding the human needs involved, reframes the problem with humans at the centre, creates multiple ideas, and encourages a hands-on approach to prototyping and testing before implementation.

Agile project management allows teams to deliver a project with an iterative approach that results in benefits being gained throughout the process. Core values of agile teams are behaviours of trust, flexibility, empowerment, and collaboration.

Partnerships

The other aspect of what makes Saltware Solutions function, is developing partnerships built on trust.

Trust is the cornerstone of successful relationships between individuals and organisations. With trust we collaborate more freely, exchange ideas more quickly, and become more effective at building connections.

Duncan has partnered with Nordic company Milient Software, as a sales representative, to offer their practice management software Moment, to the architect, engineer, and construction (AEC) industry in the UK. Milient is the perfect partner for us because their software is used by 40,000
users in 69 countries and has the required support to help you master your practice with ease.
